The metal articulated hose system from Grindaix GmbH was specially developed for cooling lubricant supply in CNC grinding machines. Due to its special design, the articulated metal hose has optimum flow properties with maximum flexibility. As a result, pipe friction resistance in the gFlex metal articulated hose is kept low.
The coolant metal articulated hose is positionally stable up to an operating pressure of 50 bar. Despite the small bending radius of r = 60 mm, the coolant metal articulated hose has an internal cross section of up to 12.4 mm and thus ensures maximum volume flow with minimum pressure loss. The special design of the coolant metal articulated hose is enormously facilitated by the base elements, which are already mechanically pre-restrained. Accordingly, not only the assembly but also the alignment in the grinding machine is considerably simplified.
The gFlex components can be variably combined with each other. The gFlex product range includes a variety of adapters as an interface for your grinding machine. Grindaix supplies all products compatible for use in Industry 4.0. For example, the gFlex metal articulated hose is additionally available with pressure sensor connection and characteristic curves for all hose system lengths. This gives you the option of using the gFlex with coolant measuring and control systems such as the Coolant Display. Using the gFlex characteristic curve, you can correctly set the supply to the Grindaix nozzle based on the flow rate required for your process.
