What makes the supply of the machining zone with lubricoolant so difficult in this com-
plex grinding process is that the components are transported through the grinding gap
by the rotor disc, and thus the supply point constantly changes. To ensure that the com- The flow-optimised lubricoolant nozzles are specially adapted to the grinding wheel profiles and feature optimised jet quality. This

coolant in such a way that sufficient cooling of the grinding process is achieved. At the The system has already repeatedly proven its worth in an industrial context by achieving targeted lubricoolant supply to the

as dressing residues.
The flow-optimised needle nozzles and the 3D-printed nozzles are each available in left and right versions. To ensure efficient and
collision-free lubricoolant supply to the grinding zones, the nozzles are designed for different module ranges.
ADVANTAGES
The nozzles can be changed easily and without great assembly or adjustment effort. Based on our experience, we recommend a
minimum lubricoolant exit speed amounting to 50 % of the grinding wheel circumferential speed.
Longer grinding wheel life Reduction of grinding burn

TURBINE COMPONENTS
During the multi-cycle machining of turbine blades there are many
different lubricoolant supply areas. To ensure that not all areas of a grin-
ding wheel are supplied with lubricoolant while only a small section is in
mesh, we developed a Grindaix nozzle that uses suitable valve technolo-
gy to supply lubricoolant to those areas which are currently in mesh with
the grinding wheel. This is regulated via the machine control system.
